What is HIGG INDEX Standard?

The Higg Index is a toolkit that enables brands, retailers and establishments of all scales – at every stage of their sustainability journey – to accurately measure and score the sustainability performance of a company or garment and footwear. The Higg Index provides a holistic view that helps businesses make meaningful improvements that protect the welfare of factory workers, communities and the environment.

The Higg Index standard was developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC). SAC is the first alliance of the textile, footwear and clothing industry on sustainable manufacturing.
